Mother Nature has bestowed her finest gifts on Western Australia.
Here, you can witness spectacular natural events and attractions - many which only occur in a handful of locations on Earth.
At Ningaloo Reef in December, marvel as ancient green, loggerhead, hawksbill and flatback turtles amble ashore to lay their eggs.
Then, in January and February, see the turtles hatch and scuttle to the sea.
February is also when the first coral spawn takes place at Ningaloo Reef, seven to eight nights after the full moon.
In March, the waters in the region burst with colour as more than 200 species of corals spawn in unison.
From March to May the coral spawning continues, attracting whale sharks and mantra rays to the pristine waters.
Ningaloo Reef is one of the few places on earth where you can swim alongside whale sharks - at up to 18 metres long, they're the world's biggest fish.
In late April, humpback and southern right whales begin their migration down the Westrrn Australian coast.
These majestic creatures travel from the food-rich southern ocean to breeding grounds in the warm northern waters.
Then, in August, they return south to the cold seas to grow and mature.
Around June, see whales cavorting in Flinders Bay, Augusta.
In September, head to Dunsborough to see rare blue whales and calves take refuge in the calm waters of Geographe Bay.
From September to July, spot little penguins and rare seabirds at Seal Island during a ferry tour.
When it comes to wildflowers, Western Australia has one of the most spectacular displays in the world.
The rugged landscape comes alive with a blaze of brilliant colours and lush scents from July to November.
Head north in July, where vibrant clusters and breathtaking blankets of flowers adorn the ground after early rains.
South of the state in early September, areas such as Esperance, Pemberton, Denmark, Northcliffe, Albany, Margaret River and the Porongorups spring to life with rare and exquisite flora.
In September, also be dazzled by the stunning selection of wildflowers at Kings Park in spring.
From November to December, grab a permit and go fishing for abalone. This succulent shellfish is a seafood delicacy, and is plentiful in Western Australia's pristine waters.
